Miami man reports burglary at rural residence

A Miami man reported to the Saline County Sheriff's Department Thursday, June 28, that an apparent burglary occurred at a rural home sometime in the past week.

Billy Joe Narron told deputies a driveway gate chain and a security bar on a door to the residence had been cut and then replaced to disguise the break-in.

Narron reported that a television set and four or five antique pictures were missing from the home.

Kitchen cabinets were found open that Narron said were closed when he was last at the residence, according to deputies.
