David Immanuel Dautenhahn, 75, of Marshall, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be held in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Jan. 4, 1932, in Valley Park, he was the son of the late Walter Fred Dautenhahn and Anna Marie Boenker Dautenhahn. On Sept. 11, 1953, he married Willie Ann Driskell, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1965 and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Slater. He was a professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla and Missouri Valley College in Marshall, and also sold real estate for Van Dyke & Company.
Additional survivors include his children, Cathy Davis of Slater, David P. Dautenhahn of Overland Park, Kan., Ruth Johnston of Springfield, and Dean Dautenhahn of Lee's Summit; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six brothers, Walter A. Dautenhahn of Marshall, Timothy G. Dautenhahn of Slidell, La., Thomas M. Dautenhahn of Lima, Ohio, Rev. John C. Dautenhahn of Osage Beach, Fred Dautenhahn of Vichy and Jim Dautenhahn of White Plains, Md.; five sisters, Anna Rila of Freeport, Ohio, Mary Gehlert of Belle, Johanna Eichelberger of Marshall, Naomi Gehlert Johnson of Belle and Helen Griffith of rural Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
