Oletha N. Parsons, 81, of Marshall, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Services and burial will be held in Fredericktown.

Born Dec. 2, 1925, in Saco, she was the daughter of the late Lewis "Buck" Chapman and Pearl Solace Chapman. On June 15, 1946, she married Harold Wayne Parsons, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall since 1993, moving from Fredericktown, and was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Olivet Free Will Baptist Church and also a member of Women Nationally Active for Christ.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Jeannie Bowman of Independence, Kathyrn Wilson of Gastonia, N.C., and Waynelle Scott of Marshall; one son, Jonathan Parsons of Marshall; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sam Chapman of Kimmswick and Bill Chapman and Marvin Chapman, both of Fredericktown; three sisters, Stella Matthews, Judy Lankford and Cathy Lewis all of Fredericktown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stacy Scott, and two sisters, Lela Pirtle and Avis Matthews.
