The Malta Bend Parent-Teacher Organization will host a fish fry and silent auction Friday, June 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will go toward playground equipment at Malta Bend School.

Boy Scout pack to hold car wash fundraiser June 30

Boy Scout Pack 45 will have a car wash this Saturday, June 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Taco Bell parking lot at the Marshall Plaza to raise money for summer camp.

The cost of camp is $50 per scout. They will attend from 6 to 9 p.m. in Sedalia July 9-13. The camp's theme is "The Wild, Wild West."

Salem United Church of Christ to host ice cream social July 8

Salem United Church of Christ will host an ice cream social with live rock and gospel music by Don and Judy Leimkuehler on Sunday, July 8, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Homemade ice cream, cake, sandwiches and beverages will be served and freewill donations will be accepted.

The church is located a half mile of Route AC on County Road 129 north of Arrow Rock.
