Maurine Sidwell, 87, of Marshall, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Wayne Doolin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to New Salem Baptist Church. Born November 14, 1919, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Dickerson and Ollie Trent Dickerson. On January 8, 1939, she married I.D. Sidwell who preceded her in death on August 11, 1984. She had lived in the Marshall Junction community most of her life. She was co-owner/operator of Sidwell Pump Company, retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and was active in the Foster Grandparent Program.
Survivors include one son, Brian Sidwell of rural Marshall; one daughter, Sharon Adcock of Sedalia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marshall Dickerson of Sedalia and Kenneth Dickerson of Jackson, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Dickerson.
