Georganne Beazley Coe, 84, daughter of Mary and Howard Beazley, wife of James William (Jim) Coe (both raised in Marshall, MO, and married in 1946), and six-decade resident of St. Louis, died unexpectedly on June 14. Mrs. Coe graduated from Marshall High School and Vassar College and did graduate work at the University of Missouri. Throughout her life, she was active in a variety of social and church affairs. Her greatest passion in life was her family; next to them, she most loved Cyclone Hollow, the family farm in Washington County.

Among her other great loves were float trips on the Ozark rivers, exploring the Colorado Rockies, horseback riding and the beautiful Missouri wildflowers. She leaves behind three children: Susan Coe Adams (Dr. Albert M. Adams), James William Coe, Jr. (Ms. Debra Price Coe) and Molly Coe Niven (Mr. David William Niven), a daughter-in-law, Linda Cullen Coe and her sister, Virginia Beazley Lambert. Her husband and younger son, Thomas Howard Coe, predeceased her.

Mrs. Coe is also survived by six grandchildren, Charley and Willie Adams, Ben Coe, Ben Niven, and Ian and Allison Coe and one great-grandchild, Morgan Niven. Georganne's independent spirit, keen interest in nature and commitment to learning kept her active and connected throughout her life.

A memorial service will be held in the fall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Thomas Howard Coe Scholarship Fund at Whitfield School (175 South Mason Road, St Louis, MO 63141) or to the Nicholas Beazley Aviation Museum (P.O. Box 740, Marshall, MO 65340).
