Ralph Brooks Utz, 88, of Marshall, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Old Lamine Cemetery near Blackwater, with Rev. Chester Hedrick officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Misenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.

He was born June 1, 1919, in Higginsville. He married Harriet Turley on Nov. 24, 1954; she survives of the home. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of First Christian Church. He had worked for Rival Mfg. and also the shoe factory in Marshall.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sister, Nancy.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth.
