Several events will be taking place throughout the day as part of the celebration.
Kicking off the event will be a baby contest. The contest will take place in the Miami Community Center building at 3:30 p.m.
Registration for the contest will begin at 3 p.m. with an entry fee of $5. The theme is "Red-White-Blue."
Following the baby contest will be a parade beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. The parade will include floats, antique engines and tractors, antique cars, horses, and children floats.
Dinner -- a whole-hog roast -- will be served from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance, $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Tickets purchased at the door will be $8 for adults and $4 for children.

The children's Redneck Olympics games will begin at 6 p.m. and the adult Redneck Olympics event will begin at 7 p.m.
Available throughout the day will be children's games and raffle tickets donated by various merchants, selling at $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds will go to benefit the Miami Community Center.
Once the day's activities are complete, there will be a fireworks display at the water tower beginning at dusk. Viewers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
