Viola Aversman, 83, of Concordia, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at The Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia with Rev. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial was in St. Paul 's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Foundation for the Future or The Lutheran Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. Miller and Elizabeth Henning Miller. On Sept. 12, 1948, she married Herbert Aversman, who survives of the home. She had lived in Concordia most of her life, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and had been a Red Cross volunteer for many years at the Good Shepherd Home.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Jenny Beerman of Kansas City; one son, John Aversman of rural Concordia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Miller of Concordia and Bonnie Roehrs of Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Bruce Aversman; four brothers, Alfred, Henry, Ervin and Walter Miller; and two sisters, Hilda Kempfe and Elizabeth Mueller.
