Jewell Rae Fox, 87, of Marshall, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Marshall with Rev. Dave Huck officiating. Eastern Star services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, with visitation following from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Sept. 15, 1919, at Vache (Dodds) Island at Bonnots Mill, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Charles Vache and Lucinda Maxwell Vache. She was a graduate of Miami High School. On Mar. 22, 1941, she married George William Howery, who preceded her in death. On July 31, 1950, she married Alburt McFarland Wilson Jr., who preceded her in death on May 11, 1971. On June 2, 1973, she married Charles Leonard Fox, who preceded her in death on June 20, 1984. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a retired bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Chancel Choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Keystone Sunday School Class of which she was past president. She was also a 50-year member of Marshall Chapter No. 408 Order of the Eastern Star serving as Past Worthy Matron, past president of Meals on Wheels and a member of the Marshall Community Choir.
Survivors include her children, Roger W. Howery and wife, Nicole, of rural Marshall, Connie Ann Rieth and husband, Bill, of Marshall, Alan Ray Wilson and wife, Tammy, of Miami, and Arthur Charles "Chuck" Wilson and wife, Karen, of Centennial, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Louis Vache of Jacksonville, Ill.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Alburt McFarland "Albie" Wilson III; one grandson, Marc Edward Rieth; three brothers; and one sister.
