Louis J. Bourgeois, 87, of Marshall, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville, La. Born May 13, 1920, in Loreauville, La., he was the son of the late J. B. Bourgeois and Amalie LeBlanc Bourgeois. He was a graduate of Loreauville High School. On March 21, 1952, he married Luzia Jeske, who preceded him in death on July 18, 1975. On April 16, 1979, he married Katherine Driskell Hutton, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1979 and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He had worked at Banquet Foods in Marshall and was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served a total of 21 years in the military.
Additional survivors include two stepdaughters, Trudy Horton of Baton Rouge, La., and Martha Weniger and husband, Dick, of Portland, Ore.; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
