Kenneth D. Rudd, 71, of Odessa, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Perry Bean, Ed Carter, C.L. Henke, Dan Martell, Curtis Troxel and Max Wales.
He was born May 31, 1936 in Marshall, the son of the late A. T. Rudd and Vivian F. Crawford Rudd. He played varsity football at Marshall High School and graduated in 1954. He served in the Missouri National Guard. On Feb. 12, 1961, he married Marcia F. Doering in Marshall; she survives of the home. He was employed by the Missouri Highway Department. He was a sales manager for Ed Gieseler Volume TV and Appliance in the Kansas City area and later owned and operated Volume TV. He had also worked at Heilig-Meyers and Brown Furniture in Blue Springs before his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy C. Rudd of Ash Grove and Michael T. Rudd of Centerview; and three grandchildren.
