Deibel

Molly E. Deibel

Molly Elizabeth Deibel, 15, the daughter of Katy Meyer and Corey Deibel of Waverly, is sponsored by Work-to-Win.

She will be a sophomore at Santa Fe High School in the fall.

She is on the A Honor roll, is a State FFA record book winner, 2006 Cover Miss Queen, a member of the 2005 district Softball Summer League Championship team, has won numerous medals in track, and is a District band contest winner for her drum solo.

She is active in softball, FFA, 4-H, and is a statistics keeper for football. She volunteered for sand-bagging during the recent floods, and is a volunteer at Apple Ridge Care Center, making snacks and working on craft projects with the residents.

Her hobbies and activities include talking on the phone, shopping, playing softball, baby-sitting, going to the lake and driving, and playing the drums.

Fuehring

Morgan N. Fuehring

Morgan Nichole Fuehring, 16, is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Fuehring of Sweet Springs.

She attends Sweet Springs High School.

She is a member of National Honor Society. She is involved in volleyball, football and basketball cheerleading and is a life guard. She has been a member of 4-H for the past four years.

She enjoys hanging out with friends and family.

Green

Katie M. Green

Katie Marie Green, 14, daughter of Rick and Kim Green of Marshall, is sponsored by Clay Center 4-H Club.

She is a graduate of Hardeman Elementary School and will attend Marshall High School in the fall.

Active in basketball, she received the Coaches Award in 2006, Team Captain Award in 2007 and Most Valuable Player Award in 2007. She is a member of the Sweet Springs Saddle Club and Clay Center 4-H Club. She will be a freshman cheerleader and will be in the freshman chorus at MHS. She was vice-president of the Hardeman Student Council in 2006-2007, played basketball, volleyball, ran track and was a cheerleader at Hardeman.

She received the "Shake It" award in 2007 for cheerleading and received best in Science, Reading, Writing and Spelling at Hardeman.

Her leisure time activities include horseback riding, reading, cooking, fishing, hunting and shopping.

Harris

Jodie M. Harris

Jodie Marie Harris, 15, is the daughter of Stephen and Joyce Harris of Sweet Springs.

She is president of Kennedy 4-H, was 8th overall person at districts and went to state for poultry judging. She received a President's Education Award and a Science Award. She is active in FFA, 4-H and Junior Leaders, band, flag corps, and National Junior Honor Society. She also plays volleyball, softball, basketball and is involved in her church's youth group.

Her hobbies and activities include snow- and water-skiing, kneeboarding, swimming, camping with family and showing steers.

Hayworth

Shelby L. Hayworth

Shelby Lynn Hayworth, 14, is the daughter of Russell and Kandy Hayworth of Sweet Springs.

She is a student at Sweet Springs R-7 school.

She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, went to state for 4-H for her pumpkin bread, received 3rd place medals in track, and 2nd place medals in volleyball. She received a President's Education Award, and an award as Most Improved/Best All-Around for Junior High Band.

She is active in sports, junior high track, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, summer softball and hog-showing. She is a member of Liberty 4-H, and was a student council representative for 7th grade.

Her hobbies and activities include softball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and track, and hunting and 4-wheeling.

Heaper

Hollie D. Heaper

Hollie Dawn Heaper, 15, daughter of Rodney and Sherrie Heaper of Sweet Springs, is sponsored by Kennedy 4-H.

She will be a sophomore at Sweet Springs High School in the fall.

She is active in NJHS, FFA, FBLA, FCA, Art Club, band, jazz band, plays basketball and volleyball and runs track.

Her leisure activities include hanging out with friends and working on her computer.

Hutcherson

Virginia L. Hutcherson

Virginia Lynn Hutcherson, 15, is the daughter of Eddie and Shelby Hutcherson of Marshall.

She will be a sophomore at Marshall High School in the fall.

She is on the honor roll and was Rookie of the Year in tennis.

She is active in tennis, basketball, MHS Bird Cage and the youth group of Marshall Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and is the upcoming FFA treasurer.

Her outside activities include playing piano, spending with friends and family, playing sports and reading.

Jenkins

Jade N. Jenkins

Jade Nichole Jenkins, 16, is the daughter of Susan and Tim Pointer and Terry Jenkins of Marshall.

She will be a junior at Marshall High School in the fall. She is a member of First United Methodist church and its youth group, Optimist Owls, and Bird Cage. She has played varsity golf for two years, Lady Owls soccer for two years and has been in 4-H for eight years. She is an officer and member of Marshall FFA.

She was named an FFA Star Chapter Farmer, and showed the Supreme Champion Ewe at the Missouri State Fair 2006 and the Reserve 4-H Champion Market Lamb at the Missouri State Fair in 2005. She placed fifth in conference golf in 2005.

In her spare time, she plays golf and soccer and raises and shows sheep.

Jennings

Alanna C. Jennings

Alanna Christine Jennings, 14, daughter of Randy Jennings and Nina Jennings of Miami, is sponsored by Marshall High School.

She will attend Marshall High School in the fall.

She has been a member of 4-H for almost 10 years, and is involved in Marshall High School basketball and FFA projects. In addition, she participates in showing livestock at the Saline County Fair and helps with summer school activities in Miami. She enoyes riding her 4-wheeler.

She has received a Greenhand degree in FFA and a medal at the Academics banquet.

Kruger

Keli E. Kruger

Keli Elizabeth Kruger, 17, is the daughter of David and Kim Kruger of Slater.

She will be a senior at Slater High School in the fall.

She has received a Presidential Academic Achievement award, an academic letter, an FFA Leadership award, an FFA scholarship, and received the Slater FFA Star Farmer Award.

She is involved in basketball, football cheerleading, SHS choir, National Honor Society, S-Club, pep club, A Plus, and is currently the Slater FFA vice-president.

Her hobbies and activities include playing sports, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.

Summers

Kaleigh Summers

Kaleigh Summers, 15, daughter of Bud and Kim Summers of Slater, is sponsored by Marshall High School.

She will be a sophomore at Marshall High School in the fall. She has been on the honor roll for two years, and has a perfect attendance record.

She is involved in MHS Bird Cage, freshman chorus, the MHS golf team, Renaissance Student Steering Committee, 4-H Bizy Beavers, and is 4-H Club vice-president, treasurer and county council representative. She is a member of the Shapes Dance Academy dance competition team and her church's youth group.

Her hobbies and leisure time activities include competition dance, golf, cooking, sewing, baby-sitting, trying new things, shopping and being with her family.

Thiel

Rosalind M. Thiel

Rosalind Marie Thiel, 16, the daughter of Donnie and Martene Thiel of Marshall, is sponsored by Lucky Leaf 4-H.

She is a senior at St. Paul Lutheran High School.

She is a member of National Honor Society, and was named a St. Paul Lutheran High School "SuperSaint." She is active in soccer, golf, drama, volleyball, yearbook, Our Redeemer Lutheran church youth group and student government. She has been an active member of 4-H for eight years, 4-H secretary for 3 years, a resident assistant for St. Paul girl's dorm, a VBS game leader at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, a St. Paul dining hall committee chair and St. Paul "Friends" student representative.

Her hobbies and activities include crafts, photograph, sewing, listening to music, traveling, playing card and board games and hanging out with friends.

Thomas

Lauren A. Thomas

Lauren Ashley Thomas, 15, the daughter of Paul and Kim Thomas of Miami.

She will be a sophomore at Marshall High School in the fall.

She is involved in tutoring, the freshman basketball team, junior varsity track team and FCA and is a football manager. She has received an award for academic excellence.

Her hobbies and activities include playing basketball, scrapbooking, shopping and hanging out with friends and family.

Thornton

Rachel E. Thornton

Rachel Elizabeth Thornton, 15, the daughter of Stanley and Wanda Thornton of Sweet Springs, is sponsored by Saline County Junior Leaders.

She will be a sophomore at Sweet Springs High School in the fall.

She is a Star Greenhand of the FFA, a member of the FFA Knowledge Team, receiving a 1st at Area and a Team 6th at District, and is a top Physical Science, Algebra 1 and American History student.

She is active in basketball, volleyball, track, FBLA, FCA, NJHS, FFA 2nd vice-president, church youth group, Fully Forgiven Worship Band, Junior Leaders and Liberty 4-H Club.

She enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, singing, taking pictures and showing pigs.

Walter

Holly A. Walter

Holly Ann Walter, 14, the daughter of Chris Allison and Chad Walter of Marshall, is sponsored by Fairville/Reynolds 4-H Club.

She is on the A and B Honor roll, received the Matt Bailey Award, 3rd place in the American Mathematics Competition, has been a Missouri Kansas Youth Rodeo Association finalist for three years and a Wrangler Junior Division Rodeo finalist.

She is an 8th grade cheerleader, and a member of Fairville/Reynolds 4-H club, the Missouri Kansas Youth Rodeo Association, the National Barrel Horse Association, Boar Goats Association and Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association.

She enjoys riding horses and 4-wheelers, showing goats, shopping and hunting.

Wattenbarger

Paige L. Wattenbarger

Paige L. Wattenbarger, 15, is the daughter of Ron and Jackie Plattner and Carl and Tina Wattenbarger of Marshall,

She will be a sophomore at Malta Bend High School in the fall.

She has received the FFA Greenhand Award, the Star Chapter Greenhand Award, was on the B Honor Roll for the first and second semesters and received the Algebra 1 Top Student Award.

She is involved in basketball, track, cheerleading, pep club, Academic Bowl, Math Team and the school play. She was freshman class secretary, on the student council, in FFA, and was the 2007-08 FFA chapter secretary. She is also involved in 4-H Junior Leaders and is a member of the First Baptist Church youth group.

Her hobbies and activities include raising show pigs and goats, horseback riding, reading, shopping, basketball and hanging out with friends.

Wright

MacKenzie L. Wright

MacKenzie Lynn Wright, 14, the daughter of Wayne and Deanna Wright, is sponsored by Orearville 4-H.

She will be a freshman at Slater High School in the fall.

She has been on the honor roll, has received a math award as top student, and was the top student in the 8th grade Science Fair.

She is active in track and softball and is a 4-H vice-president, as well as a member of student council.

Her hobbies include running track, softball and raising rabbits. She attends Union Baptist Church.

Baldridge

Whitney E. Baldridge

Whitney Elizabeth Baldridge, 15, is the daughter of Linn and Rayetta Self and John Baldridge of Napton.

She will be a sophomore at Marshall High School in the fall.

She is on the A Honor Roll and the Renaissance Committee at Marshall High School. She has been active in 4-H since the age of 5, is the current president of Town and Country 4-H and past vice-president and reporter. She placed 2nd in 5th grade and 1st in 6th grade in the Modern Woodman Speech Contest, and vice-president of her 8th grade class. She was 2nd runner-up in the junior queen contest last year.

She has been involved in softball every summer since kindergarten; on the basketball team in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades; and has been a football cheerleader. She is also in BMS Singers, the freshman choir, MHS Birdcage and Drama Club.

Her hobbies and other activities include hanging out with friends, talking on the phone, swimming, writing for fun, ready books and magazines, playing catch, singing and spending time with her family.
