Marilyn Sue French, 60, of Marshall, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with Rev. Jason P. Veale officiating. Burial was in Union-Williams Cemetery, Cole Camp. Pallbearers were Casey Denney, Amanda Gaspard, Devin Gaspard, Jody Pritchard, Bob Yeater, Jerry Green, and Mary Green. The family suggests memorial contributions to Benton County Cancer Society or Union-Williams Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1946, at Sedalia, a daughter of Gerald W. and Mary M. (Heckenlaible) Green. On Sept. 3, 1973, at Epworth Methodist Church in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Thomas E. French Jr., who survives of the home. She was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church, Sedalia. She had worked as bookkeeper and teller at State Bank and Sedalia Mercantile Bank, both in Sedalia. She was a homemaker, loved her cats, and enjoyed gardening and reading, especially mysteries and history novels. From 1977 to 1999, she lived east of Cole Camp and moved to Marshall in 2000.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, Jerry Green of Cole Camp; two nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
