Sandra Catherine Irving, 67, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services were held at Fraser Funeral Home in Jacksonville on May 14, 2007. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Disease Research Fund.
She was born July 23, 1939, in Marshall, the daughter of Irvin Basil and Catherine Eades Thomas Hurt. On Dec. 30, 1992, in Red Bluff, Calif., she married Daniel R. Irving; he survives of the home. She was a 1957 graduate of Marshall High School. In the early 1960s, she transferred from Sedalia to Los Angeles to work for Morrison-Knutson Construction Company. She moved to Boise, Idaho, to attend Boise State and pursued a bachelor's degree in engineering. In 1980, she moved to Red Bluff, Calif., where she served as Tehama county clerk. She later worked for the California Department of Water Resources, retiring in 2004. In 2005, she and her husband retired to Jacksonville. She was a member of Wesconett Baptist church in Jacksonville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Janice Daleen of Sedalia; an aunt and an uncle; nine stepchildren; and 20 stepgrandchildren.
