Robert Ray Hazell, 60, of Marshall, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Lamine Cemetery in Cooper County. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice or Fitzgibbon Cancer Center. Born Nov. 8, 1946, in Boonville, he was the son of the late William Martin Hazell and Mary Etta Duncan Hazell. On Nov. 17, 1967, he married Judy Kay Bryson, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life living in Little Falls, Minn., from 1990 to 1996. He was a retired conductor with Amtrak Passenger Trains and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Additional survivors include two sons, C.M. Hazell and wife, Amy, of Marshall and Bobby Hazell of the home; two grandchildren, Jaylee Rayanne Hazell and Jackson William Hazell; two sisters, Georgia Hunter of Marshall and Clara Green of Boonville; three brothers, Bernie Hazell and Jim Hazell both of Marshall and Earl Hazell of Blue Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Korte, and one brother, J.W. Hazell.
