Emma Lee Cone, 85, of Gilliam, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Glasgow.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Gilliam Cemetery. Rev. Jesse L. Spurgin will officiate. Born Feb. 27, 1922, in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Rex Hutchings and Nellie Lee Hutchings. She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. On July 7, 1943, she married Harry William Cone, who preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 2001. She had lived in Gilliam and the Slater area for several years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Slater United Methodist Church and its UMW.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Cone of Paragould, Ark., Robert Cone of Kansas City, and Don Cone of Bates City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary June Cheney of the state of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
