Mildred L. Buesing, 89, of Concordia, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia. Rev. Paul Wobus will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery in Emma. Memorials may be made to St. John's Cemetery. Born May 29, 1917, in rural Concordia, she was the daughter of the late John C. Helt and Mayme Sivils Helt. On Sept. 22, 1944, she married William C. Buesing, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1987. She was co-owner/operator of Sweet Springs Lumber Company, had worked at Community Hospital in Sweet Springs and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Blackburn and was a 45-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, James W. Buesing of Columbia; one daughter, Judy Loges of rural Sweet Springs; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leland Helt of Concordia; two sisters, Lillian Kresse of Concordia and Julia Froeschle of Kansas City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Roger A. Buesing, and one brother, Alfred Helt.
