Darryck Ray Kruger, 15, of rural Marshall, died Friday, April 6, 2007, in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Zach Kruger, Doug Huff, Gerald McClellan, B.J. McClellan, Rusty Willis and David Kruger. Memorials may be made to the Darryck Kruger Memorial Fund c/o Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born Oct. 4, 1991, in Columbia, he was the son of Darryl R. Kruger and Pam Quick Kruger, who survive of the home. He was a freshman at Marshall High School, played football and was a member of FFA. He played youth baseball and football and was an avid hunter. He attended Smith Chapel United Methodist Church near Marshall.
Additional survivors include his brothers and sisters, Brad Kruger of Slater, Rebecca Rose of Marshall, Amanda Kruger of Oak Grove and Adam Kruger of the home; paternal grandparents, Paul and Carolyn Rapp of Oak Grove and Harold Kruger of Glasgow; maternal grandparents, Homer Pointer of Marshall, Irene and A.W. Potts of Gilliam and Ralph Quick of Marshall; two nephews, Brett Rose and Lane Kruger; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
