Helen H. Rink, 87, of Slater, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Slater Presbyterian Church. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Bethany Weiker, pianist, will play "Stardust" and "Going Home." She will accompany the congregation in singing "Fairest Lord Jesus," and "Be Thou My Vision." Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Clements Jr., Tyler Clark, Phil Wymore, David Jones, William Horgan and Charlie Guthrie. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Sebastian, Ernest Smith, Fred McBurney, Angie Clark and Cindy Boehner. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the church.
Born June 4, 1919, in Gerard, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Marion Hart Andrews. On Sept. 12, 1942, in Allegan, Mich., she married Richard G. Rink; he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2007. She was a member of Slater Presbyterian Church. She attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and lived in Columbus, Ohio, most of her life before moving to Slater in 2003.
She is survived by a daughter, Katie Boehner, and her husband, Tom, of Slater; two granddaughters, Cindy Boehner of Slater and Angie Clark and her husband, Tyler, of Warsaw; and a great-grandson, Kian Clark.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
