Doris Ann Berger, 90, of Marshall, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cameron Memory Gardens in Cameron. William W. Harlow will officiate. Online condolences may be sent to www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Sept. 16, 1916, in Cameron, she was the daughter of the late James Fredrick King and Louise Katie Schlimmer King. On June 16, 1940, in St. Joseph, she married Lawrence G. Berger, who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1987. She had lived in Marshall since 1951, moving from Cameron, and was a Christian.
Survivors include two sons, James Robert Berger of Marshall and Richard Eugene Berger of Olathe, Kan.; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Lawrence Berger, Jeremy James Berger, Deborah Elaine Berger, Joey Turley and Alan Berger; one great-grandson, Jesse Turley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, five sisters and four brothers.
