Carlos Dean Sapp, 70, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Maywood Terrace Living Center in Independence.
Cremation. Graveside services with military rites will be held at noon Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, south of Lincoln.
He was born July 10, 1936, in Cole Camp, the son of Edgar Herman and Mary Malveno (Link) Sapp. He lived in Benton County, moving to Kansas City in 1952. In 1953, he joined the U.S. Army and served until 1956. He worked for Red Motley Tree Trimming Service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Kansas City.
He is survived by one son, Stephen Sapp of Crescent City, Calif.; one daughter, Pamela Watson of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Gloria Sapp and Deanna Sapp; five brothers, Lawrence Herman, Addie Eulan, Edgar Lee, William Lane, and Harold Lloyd Sapp; and five sisters, Nina Faye Sapp, Leila Lavern (Sapp) Hall, Goldie Merle (Sapp) Larimore, Frances Morene (Sapp) Goulden and Ina May (Sapp) Breshears.
