Leland Dale Johnson, 63, of Marshall, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with military rites. Friends may call Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Nicholas-Beazley Museum/Marshall Civic Center. Born Nov. 6, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Leland M. Johnson and Ruby Irvin Johnson Thompson. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a Baptist. He did corporate traveling, was a troubleshooter for an industrial machine corporation and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections in 2000. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Anna Johnson Dyer of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Erna Jean Huff.
