Marshall Public Library Board to meet Wednesday

The Marshall Public Library Board will meet Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. to have the second reading and approval of the materials selection policy.

The board appointed a committee to produce a material selection policy that would be clear-cut. The committee presented the policy to the board on Wednesday, Feb. 7, where it went through the first reading.

Malta Bend School Board discusses personnel

The Malta Bend School Board met in a special closed session on Monday, March 12, to discuss personnel matters.

The board was notified of the resignation of Band Director James Duncan. The resignation was effective immediately.

The board also discussed a contract extension for Superintendent Ryan Nowlin. The board agreed to offer a one-year extension to Nowlin. The details of the contract are currently being worked out by the district's attorney and has not been officially presented to Nowlin.
