Virginia P. (Armstrong) Johnson, 65, of Iberia, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Osage Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Osage Beach. Bishop Evan Connell will officiate. Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon on Monday, March 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Sumner at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
She was born July 14, 1941, in Farmington, N.M., the daughter of Ned W. and Amy Farr Armstrong. She married Dale N. Johnson on Nov. 25, 1960, in Winslow, Ariz.; he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2003.
She is survived by six sons, Justin D. Johnson of Bartlesville, Okla., Christopher A. Johnson of Sedalia, W. Zech Johnson of Windsor, C. W. Johnson of Green Valley, Ariz., Norman J. Johnson of Columbia and Mark E. Johnson of Chino Valley, Ariz.; two daughters, V. Gale Nelson of Garland, Utah, and U. Pearl Thomspon of Marshall; 43 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Chavez of Martinez, Calif., and Wistine Hutchinson of Lewisburg, Ohio; and five brothers, F. Philip Armstrong of Orem, Utah, Harold W. Armstrong of Lonetree, Colo., Joseph N. Armstrong of O'brien, Ore., Richard F. Armstrong of Taylorsville, Utah, and David B. Armstrong of Lawson.
