Roy E. Lange, 89, of rural Sedalia, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born June 5, 1917, in rural Emma, he was the son of the late John C.A. Lange and Florence Stephens Lange. He was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On Sept. 27, 1942, he married Eva Nell Jones, who preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 1997. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He had lived in rural Sedalia since 1950, moving from Saline County, and was a farmer for many years and a custom home builder. After his retirement he enjoyed doing family history.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda McCreery of Eldon; one son, John Lange of Green Ridge; four grandchildren; two foster grandsons; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Rogers.
