Wilmer B. Scott, 70, of Independence, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at The Bluffs in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Malta Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Born Feb. 20, 1936, in Barnett, he was the son of the late Walter Wayne Scott and Ida Elizabeth Parish Scott. He was a 1954 graduate of Marshall High School. He had lived in Independence the last 25 years and was a retired electrician. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 124.
Survivors include three children, W. Wayne Scott, Catherine Rinne and Travis Scott; several grandchildren; one sister, Ada Brace of LaBelle; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles C. Scott; and four sisters, Elsie Clark, Eula Carson, Grace Scott and Sylvia Brace.
