Warren F. Hilbrenner, 83, of rural Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia. Rev. Tim Biesemeyer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Alan Vogelsmeier, Matthew Parker, Christopher Bynum, Eric Hilbrenner, Gary Hill, Kevin Hilbrenner and Jon Lange. Burial with military rites will be held in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials may be made to Concordia United Methodist Church or Concordia Ambulance District. Born April 7, 1923, in Alma, he was the son of the late Adolph Hilbrenner and Estella Lottman Hilbrenner. On June 22, 1946, he married Nola Moenkhoff, who survives of the home. He had lived in rural Sweet Springs most of his life and was a farmer. He was a graduate of Waverly High School and was a member of Concordia United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1945 to 1946 and was a member of Concordia American Legion Post 258.
Additional survivors include one son, Roger A. Hilbrenner of Urbana; one daughter, Valerie S. Hinck of Concordia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, A.J. Hilbrenner of Waverly; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmont Hilbrenner and A.W. "Bud" Hilbrenner.
