Lucille Looney, 96, of Sweet Springs, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Sweet Springs Villa.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Fairview Cemetery. Rev. Charles Ahlemann will officiate. There will be no visitation. Born August 14, 1910, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Cordelia Nichols Epperson. On Dec. 23, 1933, she married Ray Looney who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1972. She had lived in Sweet Springs most of her life, where she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Larry Looney of Sweet Springs; five grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Sanders of Blue Springs; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Looney Keele; one brother; and two sisters.
