Marshall Waldo "Doc" Means, 91, of Marshall, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Masonic services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Faucett Cemetery. Born Feb. 26, 1915, in Faucett, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Means and Maude Marshall Means Coker. On Oct. 19, 1946, he married Dorothy Helen Clark, who survives of the home. He was retired from USDA as a meat inspector and was an inspector at Banquet Foods from 1951 to 1978. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marshall where he served as a deacon. He was a member of Trilumina Lodge No. 205 A.F. & A.M. and Sedalia Chapter No. 18 Royal Arch Masons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Hugh Coker, and one sister, Hylah Tribble.
