Gladys Violet (Bird) Wagle, 99, of Marshall, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Rev. James C. Long will officiate. Born Nov. 8, 1907, near Windsor in Henry County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Bird and Lucy Colville Bird. On April 20, 1929, in Sedalia, she married C.E. "Bud" Wagle, who preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1998. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Marshall. She was a homemaker and retired from the Marshall State School where she had worked in the pharmacy.

Survivors include two daughters, Lola Labus of Sedalia and Phyllis Bywaters of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Moore of Marshall and Opal Turner of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Mosier; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters.
