Eunice "Slim" Whitfield, 62, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Cooper County Hospital in Boonville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at H. T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall, with elder Charlotte Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
He was born June 22, 1944, in Coahoma, Miss., the son of Eula Mae Whitfield. He worked at Rivals Manufacturing for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Whitfield of Carruthersville; his lifelong companion, Darla Myler of Marshall; two sons, James Whitfield of Indiana and Kelly Whitfield of Indiana; two stepsons, Tim Myler of Columbia and Jeff Myler of Carrollton; three daughters, Tina Crump of Boonville, Dawnetta Briscoe of Boonville and Yolanda Davis of Columbia; three stepdaughters, Kelly Myler of Marshall, Stephanie Phillips of Marshall and Amy Myler of Marshall; his mother, Eula Whitfield of Dyersburg, Tenn.; several brothers and sisters; 13 grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one step-grandchild.
