Nancy Lee Adkins, 68, of Marshall, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery south of Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Born April 2, 1938, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Orville W. "Coon Dog" Crawford and Clara Etta Whitney Crawford. On May 18, 1960, she married Jerry Allen Adkins who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and was a member of Community of Christ Church in Marshall. She was a den mother in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was always active in her children's school activities.
Additional survivors include two sons, Allen Adkins and fiance Mary Kay Johnson and Kevin Lee Adkins all of Slater; one daughter, MaryEtta Adkins of Slater; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Rosetta Wilson of Elkland, Patsy Crawford of Springfield, Janice Criswell of Higginsville, and Phyllis Kalthoff of rural Warsaw; one brother, Riley Crawford of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
