Ronald Evans Wade, 68, of Stover, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at First Christian Church in Sweet Springs from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Christian Church of Sweet Springs. Final services will be held in a private family ceremony in June 2007 in Arrow Rock.
He grew up in Sweet Springs, graduated from Sweet Springs High School in 1956, and later served as a member of the Army National Guard in Marshall, for 20 years before his retirement. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2003, and he then moved to Ivy Bend at the Lake of the Ozarks.
He is survived by three children, Ronald Wade Jr. and his wife, Patty, of Bakersfield, Calif., Lee (Wade) Storms of Washburn, Ill., and Ann Wade of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Patsy Wiseman and her husband, Bob, of Moberly; grandchildren, Douglas Haesemeyer of Warrensburg, Justin and Mindy Haesemeyer of Lee's Summit, AshLee Calder of Sedalia, John and Tawney Wade of Colorado Springs, Colo., Roni Wade of Bakersfield, Calif., Sam and Amanda Langkop of Dallas, Texas, and Brad and Heidi Walbourn of Hughesville; nieces Enola Bell of Kansas City and Rosie Christal of Moberly; and great-grandchildren Kayte and Conner Wade of Colorado Springs, Colo., and MaKayla, Sophie and Chase Walbourn of Hughesville; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Harriett Wade; one brother, Jerry Wade; and the mother of his children, Amanda C. Smith.
