Nadine E. Durham, 87, of Independence, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence.

She was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Mt. Leonard. She was a bookkeeper for the Internal Revenue Service before her retirement. She was a member of VFW Women's Auxiliary Post Number 1000, Chapter 1164 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Santa Fe Doll Club and Skyline Baptist Church.

She is survived by sons, Gary J. Durham and wife, Charlene, of Pensacola, Fla., Randy Durham of Hermitage and Robert Durham of Anaheim, Calif.; granddaughters, Diane Thompson and husband, Tyler, of Lee's Summit, Sara Brooks of Lee's Summit and Cynthia Durham of Houston, Texas; brothers, Howard O'Quest of Banning, Calif., and Carroll D. "Pete" O'Quest of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Mariam Hinton of Buckner and Nancy Chevalier of Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Durham; twin sister, Claudine O'Quest; brother, Charles O'Quest; and sister, Dorothy Lucht.
