Thelma L. Conway, 90, of Liberty, formerly of Marshall, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at the Ashton Court Care Center in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall, with Bishop E. T. Sims officiating. Burial will be in the Sappington Cemetery in Arrow Rock. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home of Marshall.
She was born Feb. 13, 1916, in St. Louis, the daughter of Rufus and Rosa Banks Huff. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Habernal of Liberty; two sons, James Van Buren of Denver, Colo., and Bobby Van Buren of Wichita, Kan.; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two husbands, three brothers and three sisters.
