Charles A. Miles, 91, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
Born Sept. 5, 1915, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Jesse S. Miles and Mary Dietzman Miles. On July 21, 1943, in Lawrence, Kan., he married Bettie Ann Potter, who preceded him in death on June 10, 1993. He had lived in the Marshall area his entire life and was retired from Hiland Dairy. He also worked for Western Auto. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Miles and wife, Phyllis, of Rolla, and Greg Miles and wife, Amy, of Marshall; four grandchildren, Travis Miles, Hilary Miles, Margaret Miles and Katie Miles; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard "Dick" Miles and John Miles.
