Thelma Marie Sharp, 81, of Norborne, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, with Rev. John Mohler and Rev. Karen Coy officiating. Burial will be in Missouri City Cemetery, Missouri City. Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton. She was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Kansas City, the daughter of Lawrence and Edna Robey Feltenberger. She attended schools in the Kansas City area. On Jan. 20, 1944, she married Leonard Royce Sharp in Kansas City, Kan. He survives at the home. She lived in the Kansas City and Raytown area. She then moved to Carrollton where she and her husband owned and operated Felt Sharp Floor Covering. They moved to Camarillo, Calif., where they managed apartments, retiring to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1998. They then moved to Norborne in 2003. She attended Methodist churches and was a member of the Women's International Bowlers Association.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by five children, Lawrence Dale Sharp of Lee's Summit; James Royce Sharp of Havelock, N. C.; Janice Lynn Johnson of Norborne; Joyce Elaine Utterback of Blackwater; and Greg Alan Sharp of Norborne; one brother, Lawrence Harold Feltenberger of Kansas City; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Pape.
