Melba Lee Walker, 77, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, with funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society in care of the Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1929, in Ellington, the daughter of the late Claude Lafayette Walker and Effie Elsie Vance Walker. She was a resident of Marshall for most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Marshall.

She is survived by one brother, Wilmer Walker of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Wendell Walker; and one infant sister, Joy Jean Walker.
