Billy Ward Clemons, 77, of Camdenton, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mound Cemetery in Stockton. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
He was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Malta Bend, a son of Kinley and Edna Pearl Eidson Clemons. On Dec. 22, 1980, he was married to Janice Geisser. He was a member of the Baptist church. He worked at MFA Seed in Marshall. He managed Greenview Farms in Lexington from 1957 to 1962. He later owned seed plants in southern Missouri. He was an avid collector of Ford cars and John Deere tractors.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Clemons of Smithton; two daughters, Cathy Esquivel of Sedalia and Karla Wheeler of Lamar; three stepdaughters, Dr. Becky Simpson of Camdenton, Carrie Viebrock of Camdenton and April Gamel of Camdenton; a sister, Juanita Morris, of Columbia; the mother of his children, Dorothy Clemons, of Sedalia; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased in death by six brothers, Rollie Clemons, Nat Clemons, Pete Clemons, Josh Clemons, Hoyt Clemons and Ted Clemons; and three sisters, Sally Kettle, Cledith Pfeiffer and Rita King.
