Mildred S. Bell, 90, of Slater, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital.
Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Slater.
Born March 26, 1916, in Davis County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Isaac C. and Mary Josephine Harrison Stephens. She married Tommy Hyatt Brownell and he preceded her in death. She later married Frank Bell Sr. and he preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater, and its Willing Workers Sunday School class.
She is survived by two sons, John Brownell of Slater and Fred Bell Jr. of Slater; three daughters, Amy Bell of Beech Bluff, Tenn., Mary Metta Lee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Patricia Maple of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a granddaughter, four brothers and a sister
