Marie Lane, 88, of Warrensburg, formerly of Waverly, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Mike Hampton, Terry Hampton, Paul Hampton, Eric Hampton, Anthony DeStefano and Mario DeStefano. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Born April 7, 1918, in Malta Bend, she was the daughter of the late William E. McKee and Susie Bennett McKee. On Dec. 28, 1934, she married Charles E. Lane, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1967. She had lived in Marshall, Waverly and Warrensburg and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg. She was a homemaker and had worked for Banquet Foods.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Hampton of Warrensburg; one son, Gerald Lane of Woodridge, Ill.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert McKee of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Irene Dennis of Marshall, and Delora Oliver of Henderson, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
