Check It Out/Marshall library will be jumping with activities

Wednesday, November 8, 2006
The library will be jumping with activities over the next week! We start on Saturday with a Pitch Party (as in the card game) at 2 p.m. Prizes will be given to the high and low scores. Refreshments will be served.

On Monday the 13th is the Family Fun Night at 7 p.m, celebrating Children's Book Week. Bring the children to join us for a special storytime.

Anita Wright is back with her travel escapades at 7 p.m on Tuesday the 14th-- join her as she shares her recent trip to Egypt. You don't want to miss this slide show and the entertaining commentary.

On Friday the 17th is the Teen Movie Night at 7 p.m. -- we will be showing X3, which is rated PG-13 so the teens must be 13 or older to attend.

Finally, Saturday the 18th, the Marshall Library will be participating in an international event -- Tellabration. Storytellers around the world will be supporting the oral tradition by sharing their stories with local communities. Come to the library at 10 am to hear storytelling designed for all ages.

And don't forget our three book clubs. The Teen Book Club meets on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. to talk about Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. The Classic Book Club is reading My Antonia by Willa Cather and will meet on Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. The History of Love is the title being read by the Up For Discussion book club, which will meet on Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. All of the books are available at the front desk.
