Mandrell Baker, 30, of Columbia, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in Columbia.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. The Rev. Charles Stephenson Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Marshall. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Nov. 1, 1976, in Waverly, he was the son of Joseph E. Jones and Virginia Baker. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. He was employed at Willy's Painting in Columbia.
He is survived by his wife, Shaina Baker of Jefferson City; his mother, Virginia Strickland of Columbia; his father, Joseph Jones of Detroit, Mich.; his stepfather, Robert Johnson of Kansas City; a son, Malachi Baker of St. Louis; two daughters, Aaliyah Loveall of Columbia and Anastyn Baker of Huntsville; four brothers, Joseph Jones III of Detroit, Mich., Marcus Buford of Columbia, Michael Baker and Matthew Baker of Marshall; four sisters, Channcy Baker, Shadaryl Bassett, Genevieve Buford and Rae Dawn Buford of Columbia; and two step-sisters.
