Wanda M. Epperson, 77, of rural Marshall, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at the First Christian Church in Marshall. Rev. Mike Brown will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church c/o Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Sept. 11, 1929, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Henry Cumpton and Edra Burnside Cumpton Falls. On Dec. 17, 1950, she married Billie Jene Desmond, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1989. On May 4, 1991, she married Harold E. "Red" Epperson who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2003. She had lived in Marshall most of her life, also living near Gravois Mills, for 10 years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall. She was retired from International Shoe Co.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Linda Brown and husband, David, of rural Marshall and Pam Rieves and husband, Kevin, of Marshall; one stepson, Keith Epperson and wife, Mary Kay, of Muscatine, Iowa; eight step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; one niece, Becky Falls and husband, Freddie, of Blackburn; and one nephew, Herbie Cumpton of Marshall.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Orvel Cumpton.
