Marjorie E. Harper, 87, of Marshall, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Dale Bean and Rev. Aaron Pack will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God.
Born April 1, 1919, in Imperial, Neb., she was the daughter of the late Ray Orcutt and Lois Barger Orcutt. She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia. On Oct. 24, 1952, she married Charles D. Harper, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2002. She had lived in the Saline County area since 1967 and was a member of First Assembly of God. She was a homemaker and had worked as a DA at the Marshall Habilitation Center for many years.
Survivors include one brother, Paul Orcutt of McPherson, Kan.; two sisters, Dorothy Hicks and Ellen Stroup both of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Orcutt and Donald Orcutt.
