Melba Marie Hildebrand, 71, of Sweet Springs, formerly of Concordia, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Sweet Springs Villa.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia.

Born Dec. 11, 1934, in Concordia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Hildebrand and Frieda Marie Brunkhorst Hildebrand. She had worked for James Funeral Home in Concordia for many years and was a member Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs.

Survivors include three sisters, Alice Hildebrand of St. Charles, Helen Samuels of Marshall and Margie Popenhagen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Wilbert Hildebrand of Concordia and Stephen Hildebrand of Grand Junction, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
