John Woods, Jr., 76, of Marshall, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at his home.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Mike Brown will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Marshall.
Born May 13, 1930, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John Woods and Katherine Miller Woods. On July 8, 1977, he married Diana Williams Timmons, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1993 moving from St. Louis where he was an engineer for McDonnell-Douglas for 35 years. He was a graduate of Ritenour High School in St. Louis, received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Additional survivors include one stepson, William Timmons of Chicago; two aunts; and several cousins.
