Glenn Sprigg, 70, of rural Nelson, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Quail Unlimited.
Born June 12, 1936, in Napton, he was the son of the late Elbert Marvin Sprigg and Emma Harvey Sprigg, who survives of rural Blackwater. He had lived in rural Saline County most of his life and was a Methodist. He was a graduate of Pilot Grove High School and then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a bachelor of science degree in ag science. He was owner/operator of Nelson Elevator, Inc. and had been involved in agriculture his entire life. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by three sons, David Sprigg and wife, Paula, of Marshall, Ill.; Mark Sprigg and wife, Cindy, of Cape Girardeau; and Paul Sprigg and wife, Marcia, of Boonville; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Kay Plummer Graves of Marshall; his loving companion, Dorothy Caton of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marian Lea Priester.
