Ellen Cole, 80, of Sedalia, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Elizabeth King will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Saline Animal League or charity of donor's choice.
Born Nov. 1, 1925, in Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Morris and Eunice Smith Morris. On Nov. 17, 1945, she married Dr. William R. Cole, who survives of the home. She was a homemaker and attended the Methodist Church. She lived in Sedalia from 1970 to 1993, moving from St. Louis. She then lived in Dallas, Texas, from 1993 to 1996. She also maintained a home in Laurie, returning to Sedalia in 2006. She was involved in Sedalia Music Club, Audubon Club and Liberty Center Association for the Arts in Sedalia.
She is also survived by one son, Barry Charles Cole of Harveyville, Kan.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two step-sisters, Nita Hale and Mildred Meyer.
